Viale Gaudio 2 – M2 Lanza
One of the world’s oldest aquariums, located in Parco Sempione, the park which also houses the Castello Sforzesco, in an Art Nouveau building with aquatic-themed exterior features. Over one hundred species of fish, crustaceans, mollusks and echinoderms from the Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea and Italian freshwaters live here.
In addition, educational routes teach visitors about the water cycle and fishing. On the same site as the aquarium are the Stazione Idrobiologica and a Biblioteca (Library) specializing in marine biology and aquatic sciences.
